Located on the corner of Third Street and Severn Avenue in Eastport, Annapolis Canoe and Kayak welcomes you with a friendly crew of knowledgeable team members and a wide selection of canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddleboards. Spanning a large footprint on this block of Eastport, ACK has been a strong staple of the community since 1991 when it originally opened as Springriver Annapolis.
History of Annapolis Canoe and Kayak
This treasured local business has its roots in the old boatbuilding section of Annapolis, boasting a rich maritime history in addition to its proximity to Spa Creek. This discreet, yet historically prominent block of Eastport was once home to the Chance Maritime Construction Company. After World War II, John Trumpy Sr. purchased the lot to deliver finely crafted motor yachts. Interestingly, the Annapolis Canoe and Kayak shop was originally the “engine room” for Trumpy yachts.
Residents and visitors alike find themselves immersed in the charming nature that beholds Annapolis with one thing in common – a love of the water. Whether your adoration of the water spans the calming creeks, the flowing rivers, or the adventurous Chesapeake Bay, Annapolis Canoe and Kayak is a fantastic place to satiate the recreational waterman in you. ACK specializes in the sale and rentals of canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddleboards.
