You might have recently read our Arts piece on Kim Hovell. If you did, you would’ve discovered that she is quite the savvy business woman in addition to beloved local artist. In her artwork, Kim strives to merge both the creative art culture of Annapolis, and the deep rooted maritime history that exists here. That said, it’s no surprise that she would be the first choice for Annapolis Boat Show‘s Spring Sailboat Show poster.

Kira Remy

After flying the coop to pursue her BSJ in Multimedia Journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, Kira returned home to explore the familiar brick streets and waiting sailboats that adorned her hometown. Having grown up in southern Maryland, she is excited to further extend her roots in the Annapolis community. Kira attributes her love of the arts, food, and culture to her father who is a local musician and chef. In her free time, Kira enjoys practicing yoga, finding and trying out new recipes, and going for bike rides.
