Ringing in a new year is filled with family, friends, resolutions and celebrations. Annapolis has something for everyone, from family-friendly activities to champagne toasts at midnight. One thing that you can be sure of when celebrating New Year’s Eve in Annapolis, is that there will be plenty of music! Here are 7 places to say goodbye to 2018 and welcome in the new year.

Festivities at Weems-Whelan Memorial Field

Looking to kick off the festivities early with the whole family? Join The City of Annapolis at Weems-Whelan Memorial Field from 3pm-5pm for moon bounces, slides, obstacle courses, face painting and fun with both the Annapolis Fire Department and the Annapolis Police Department. There will also be great eats provided by the Crabtowncurbs Cuisine food truck and live music by Priddy Music Academy.

Be sure to stay for the first fireworks of the evening that will light up the sky 5:30 pm!

Midnight Fireworks at City Dock

New Year’s Eve in Annapolis

City Dock is the heart of downtown Annapolis and the perfect place to gather in celebration of the new year. The downtown firework display will light up the sky over the Bay as the clock strikes midnight. Come down to City Dock early for music and dancing that starts at 8 pm.

Tap your toe right into 2019 with the Americana sounds of The Late Bloomers. This veteran band features a mix of honky-tonk, swing, country blues and bluegrass, lead by DC area singer/songwriter Jeremy “Buck” Stone Schuhmann on guitar/vocals and harmonica. They’ll be taking over the back room at 49 West Coffeehouse, Winebar & Gallery from 9 pm to midnight.

Metropolitan Celebration

Toast to the new year with Mend The Hollow lead by Jimi Davies and local legends Vista Saints at the Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge! Between music sets, enjoy the rooftop view to take in the last of the crisp 2018 air. Be sure to dress to impress for the Best Dressed contest for a chance to win a bottle of champagne and $50 gift card!

Eastport Democratic Club

If you’re looking to start 2019 with cheap booze, free BBQ and great music, then head over to the Eastport Democratic Club! Swampcandy, Skribe and Naked Jungle will be on stage all night leading up to a Natty Boh toast at midnight.

$20 in advance or $25 at the door, no membership required.

Don’t stop thinking about 2019! The #1 Fleetwood Mac Tribute band, TUSK, will take the stage at Rams Head On Stage for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve concert. Tables are going quickly! Reserve your seats for this evening of classic jams and great company.

NYE at Middleton Tavern

Out with the hold and in with the new at one of the oldest taverns in the country! Music will fill the air both upstairs where Larry Lay will take his place in The Piano Bar while Michael McHenry Tribe will be downstairs. Enjoy a special NYE dinner menu and great view of the fireworks without fighting the cold and crowds outside.
